In parallel with the announcement of the release of Final Fantasy VII remake, Square Enix also said that Final Fantasy VIII remastered will be released soon later this year. The remastered FF8 will be released for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Steam systems.
The FF8 game was first released on the PlayStation 1 on February 11, 1999 in Japan and the world at the end of 1999, then ported to the PC in early 2000. The eighth version of the Final Fantasy series was played by gamers. Japan voted to be ranked 22nd among the best games in the world. FF8’s content revolves around the group of students – mercenaries of Balamb Garden against Ultimecia. Parallel is the love story between Squall and Rinoa.
Unlike FF7 remake, the remastered version of FF8 is only a port version of the game 20 years ago, so it will retain 100% of the graphics, storyline and gameplay, the difference if any is just to raise the level. Resolved to Full HD to match the Xbox One and PS4, similar to the Final Fantaxy X and X-2 versions were also remastered in late 2013.
